Camomile, Chamomile Flowers tea
Matricaria chamomilla L.
Effect: In folk medicine, chamomile are used for the treatment of colitis, gastritis, gastric ulcer, dysentery, diseases of liver, bladder, kidney and nervous system. It is used in cold and malaria, and insomnia, as well as diseases of various origins, which have as a symptom high temperature. Chamomile is used locally. It reduces inflammation of the mucous membranes. It is used for relieving the condition of children with spasms of the stomach or intestine. Has a positive effect in the treatment of gout, ulcers and boils.
Usage: Cold extract:
Pour 1 tablespoon of the herb with 250 ml of cold water. After 8 hours, strain and drink in 1 day.
*Infusions for internal and external use: pour 1 tablespoon of the herb with 500ml of boiling water, leave it cupped for 15 minutes, then strain. Drink the tea three times a day.
Chamomile is used externally for joint pain and bruising. Soak 2-3 teaspoons of dried chamomile with a little boiling water to make a thick paste. Spread the hot paste on clean cheesecloth and place it on the sore. Wrappe in towels. Stay like this 30-40 minutes until the paste is cool. Remove and clean the place with warm water. Smear cream with calendula and arnica or chestnut cream. *Baths with chamomile are very good for gout, rheumatism, eczema. Put 50 to 200 grams of chamomile in a warm bath. The duration of treatment should not exceed 15-20 minutes.
