Nelumbo nucifera
Application: In diarrhea, cholera, fever, liver complications, bronchitis, skin rashes, snakebites and insect stings. Dried flowers are prepared as a syrup for treatment of cough.
Lotus (Nelumbo) is a genus of aquatic plants of the family lotus. The only genus in the family. There are two species, one widespread in Asia the other in North America.
Directions: Pour the flowers with 200 ml of hot water, steam for 10 minutes, strain. You can add a few drops of freshly squeezed lemon. Drink the liquid. Take at regular intervals.
Contraindications: Not recommended during pregnancy and lactation and for children under 6 years.
