Fenugreek seeds powder, Trigonella foenum-graecum

Application: In cough, diarrhea and as sexually exciting means.

Effect: Seeds in the form of potions are good for metabolism and therefore are recommended for obesity. Decoction of the seeds is also applicable to diabetes, to stop internal bleeding and as choleretic agent.

Description: Fenugreek is an annual herbaceousplant. In its seeds are contained from 20 to 30% mucilage.

Powdered substances cause release of secretions in the stomach and intestines, inciting the appetite. They are good antiseptics. Fenugreek is widely used in our cuisine as a beneficial spice. With the seeds is prepared colored salt, combined with other spices as well.

Directions: Externally the plant is applied as a poultice on open sores, boils, swellings, rheumatism, gout, eczema, etc.

In diabetes partake one teaspoon of the seeds and boil in 600 ml of water for 5-8 minutes, strain and drink a small wineglass three times a day half an hour before meals.
