Application: Provides late effect (10-12 hours after taking the herb). The effect is soft, painless and is not followed by constipation. This makes it applicable in constipation in severely ill patients, in liver patients, in hemorrhoids. With continued use laxative effect weakens. Applicable as diuretic as well.

Effect: Laxative, diuretic.

Directions: Decoction of fruit or leaves of senna is used. Boil one tablespoon of the herb for 5 minutes with 250 ml of water. Drink the entire amount at once, preferably before bedtime.
