Inula Helenium

Application: In bronchitis, lung inflammation with thick bronchial secretions and cough, diarrhea, ulcers, gastritis, painful menstruation. In hemorrhoids, skin diseases, eczema, sores, ulcers, itchy skin, hives, intestinal parasites.

Effect: Has a strong expectorant, tonic and appetite stimulant effect.

Description: Perennial herb with hight of 0.6 to 2,5 m. The rhizome is thick and short, with numerous light brown roots. The leaves are larger than 5 cm, simple, intact, stalky ones cover the stem. The outer petals of the flower basket shell are at least 4 mm wide, ovate . Flower baskets are of diameter 5-8 cm. The flowers around the circumference of the basket are of lengthy 3-4 cm. It blooms from May to September.

Directions: Apply in the form of infusion. Boil one tablespoon of the herb in 400 ml. of water till it becomes half. When cooled strain and drink 3-4 times a day.
