Polygonum bistorta L.

Application: For internal and external bleedings especially from the stomach and intestines, in heavy menstruation and bloody diarrhea, inflammation of the stomach and intestines, dysentery, inflammation of the mouth and tonsils, pus, slow healing wounds and vaginal discharge in women.

Effect: Hemostatic, astringent and anti-diarrheal.

How to use: Brew 1 tablespoon of the herb with 250ml boiling water for 20 min. Adults should drink the quantity in one day and children in two days. Possible to be used externally as well.
