Geranium

Root geranium acts: antidiarrheal, as a diuretic, tonic, styptic, astringent (shrinks mucous membranes or skin), haemostatic (stops bleeding).

Favorable in: burns, wounds, infections with internal bleeding, uterine bleeding, ulcers (especially bleeding ulcers), heavy menstrual periods, gingivitis, sore throat and mouth, toothache, urinary tract infection and inflammation, jaundice, vaginal discharge (leukorrhea), stomach problems .

Directions: To prepare a decoction put 1-2 teaspoons of the root in cold water and boil, wait 15 minutes and apply.
To prepare tea you need 1 teaspoon the roots for 1 cup, put in hot water and wait for 15 minutes.

Caution: Do not use geranium more than 3 weeks (unless your doctor prescribes a longer period of use), as it can damage your liver due to the high tannin content of the herb. Not recommended for pregnant women and nursing mothers.
