Description: Damiana is a small shrub with beautiful and fragrant flowers, blooming from early to late summer. After overblooming of the flowers, fruits ripen acquiring taste similar to that of figs. The plant has an aroma similar to camomile due to the essential oils contained in it.
Distribution: Native in Central America, Mexico, South America and the Caribbean.
Usable part: leaves
Directions: Common tea with Damiana : brew 1/2 teaspoon of Damiana leaves in 200 ml of boiling water for 10 minutes. Before use strain and divide the amount into two for both partners.
Aromatic tea with Damiana: Mix 1 part Damiana, 2 parts peppermint (which will also contribute to the final result) and 1 part orange flowers. Boil оne teaspoon of the mixture and then leave it cupped for 10 minutes. Strain and divided into two for the two partners. Brew 1/2 teaspoon of the herb for 10 minutes in 200 ml of boiling water.
