Application: In constipation, improves digestion and appetite, in influenza, in sexual weakness, in pain in the stomach and intestines, in sand in the gallbladder. Externally : fore lavements in leucorrhoea in women, in hemorrhoids; for compresses and lavements in acne, eczema, wounds, inflammation in conjunctivitis.
Effect: Styptic, astringent.
Description: Annual small shrub whose stems reach 10-30 cm. Its leaves are positioned opposite to each other on short stalks. The flowers are gathered in ear-shaped clusters. After ripening the fruit breaks down into 4 nuts. The plant blooms in May-August.
Directions: For inward application: Pour two tablespoons of finely chopped herb with 500 g of boiling water. Boil a few minutes. Leave it to soak for 30 minutes. Strain and partake 80-150 g three times a day before meals.
For external use: For lavement in leucorrhoea in women, in hemorrhoids. Brew for external use is made of 4 teaspoons of drugs and 200 g of boiling water.
