Action: Vitamin K1 is naturally found in certain plant foods and more often in green leafy plants. Vitamin K-1 is a composite name of a group of fat-soluble vitamins that are required for the biosynthesis of some of the plasma clotting factors and their support. When vitamin K-1 is deficient, there is an increased risk of impaired blood clotting and bleeding. The vitamin prevents calcification of the blood vessels and heart valves by means of the carboxylating process in which he participates as an assistant. It favors women with profuse menstrual flow. Vitamin K-1 is of major importance for bone tissue homeostasis and is therefore successfully applied in bone-strengthened therapy for osteoporosis.
