Distinctive feautures
The cherry - Prunus - from the Rosaceae family - is a well-known and common tree in Bulgaria. The leaves are elliptic, fully developed glabrous, shiny above. Petioles are glandless. The flowers are white, fragrant. The fruit is red, fleshy, with one stone and a long stalk.

Method of picking
After being separated from the fruit, the stalks are carefully stripped of the leaves and washed with water and allowed to dry.

Method of drying
The cleaned and washed material is dried in heated rooms or in a dryer at a temperature of up to 45°. Drying must be carried out quickly to obtain a good quality herb.
