Description: A perennial bulbous plant with oblong, about 1 cm thick, single bulb covered with fraying on parallel fibers veil. The stem is 15 - 40 cm high, tricuspid, covered at the base with leaf sheaths. The leaves are two, elliptical, resembling lancets, tip pointed, narrowed to the base in a 5 - 20 cm long handle. Inflorescence is semi-round hood. The flowers are white with 6 linear resembling lancets leaves. Stamens are 6. The fruit is a three-sided box with three parts with a seed in each one. It blooms from April to June.

Usable parts: Useful are blades (Herba Allii ursini) and bulbs (Bulbus Allii ursini). Wild garlic's leaves are excellent for salad. Imagine a salad of lettuce with chopped fresh garlic. This strange mix of flavors and fragrances is obtained only if the cut few leaves of wild garlic. Wild garlic contains both components, but there is a perceptible difference. Wild garlic is fragile and lettuce will seem tough in comparison, because of the cellulose in it.
