Flax Seeds Whole,Linum usitatissimum L., seed 

Linum usitatissimum L.

Application: Has a mild laxative effect without pain and colic. Has anti-inflammatory effect, both internally (in inflammation of the stomach, intestines, bronchi, urinary tract , etc.) as well as external (in burns, furuncles, etc.). Flaxseed is beneficial in patients with impaired fat metabolism, in high cholesterol. May be administered in the diet of patients with atherosclerosis and obesity.

Effect: Flaxseed has laxative and smoothing effect.

Directions:* Internally - extract from 1 tablespoon seeds covered with 400 ml of cold water. After soaking for 2 h, drink 100 ml 3 times daily. * Externally make compresses of crushed flaxseed or flaxseed oil. The latter is a very appropriate means in burning.
