Nigella sativa

Black cumin known as well as Nigella Seeds, Nigella Sativa has small black seeds which are sometimes called onion seeds, although they are not really seeds of onions. They are often used in North India as a seasoning for vegetable dishes. Short toasting of the seeds gives a new and stronger flavor of the dish.

Seeds are somewhat spicy flavor and are used as a seasoning in confectionery and for flavoring of wines. The seeds are used in recipes with vegetables, potatoes, casseroles, fried dishes. Often are used in curry and bread.

* As herb has expectorant  and cleansing the bronchi effect, applied in cold with cough. Tea prepared of them is aromatic and exotic.

* When seeds are put where clothes are preserved, repel insects and prevent of moths.
