Elm patent medicine has astringent, anti-inflammatory, diuretic and tonic effect.

Decoction of the bark is generally used in chronic inflammation of the lining of the stomach, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, diarrhea, including of dysenteric origin, accelerates blood clotting.

How to use: Pour 1 tablespoon of the bark with 0.5 liters of boiling water, keep it on a water bath in a closed enamel tank for 15 minutes, leave it to cool to room temperature. Strain after 45 minutes and add water  to the mixture to reach the original volume of 0.5 liters.

Take 1/4-1/2 cup 3-4 times a day 20 minutes before meals.
