Astragalus Membranaceus

Application: Atherosclerosis, kidney pain, problems with the gastrointestinal tract, in hypertension , heart failure, endocrine pathology, advantageously in an adjunct diet in diabetes (a hypoglycemic action). Favorable also in infertility, preeclampsia and eclampsia, as a means of accelerating the separation of the placenta at birth .

Effect: Astragalus has a general strengthening and toning effect, leads to increase of physical ability . Maintains the normal function of the immune system in frequent colds, great physical and mental exertion, secondary immune deficiencies (stimulates the function of NK- and T- cells, contributes to the work of interferon). Powerful immune stimulating effect in acute and chronic infections. The impact of the astragalus on thymus and spleen increases the activity of the thyroid cells, thereby stimulating immunity.

Description: The roots of Astragalus contain triterpene saponins - astragalosides, alkaloids (trihonelin) , flavonoids , polysaccharides etc.

Traditional Chinese herb astragalus is used for fast recovery in chronic viral infections and build immunity against viruses and infections. Chinese proverb says: " If you want to get up and go, apply astragalus "

Directions: 1/ Astragalus powder – it is recommended to take a 1.5 to 3 g per day / half a teaspoon a day / of raw herb powder directly on the tongue. Traditionally in China herbs are used in powder form, the daily dose is divided into three parts and is poured on the tongue 15 minutes before a meal.

Option 2 – It is very convenient to mix 25 g with 250 g of honey. Take morning and afternoon, 10 minutes before a meal 1 teaspoon honey with astragalus. The quantity is sufficient for 20-25 days. The course of use is 40 days, 10 days rest, 40 days repetition.

2/ Cut root - daily dose of cut root decoction is prepared by boiling 1 tablespoon root in 700 ml. water for 10 minutes. Leave it covered for 15 minutes. Strain. Divided the dose into 3 parts and drink on an empty stomach before meals. The course of use is 40 days, 10 days rest, 40 days repetition.

3/ Cut root tincture – Put 25 g herb in 150ml brandy, vodka, or 50% - 60% alcohol in dark place. Shake daily. After 14 days the tincture is ready, strain and drain well from the herb in cheesecloth. Tke 20 drops 3 times daily before meals in half a glass of water.

The recommended course of use is one month. Ten days rest and again can be repeated.
