Aniseed, Anise Seed

Pimpinella anisum L.

Application: In case of angina, laryngitis with hoarseness, pharyngitis, chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, gastritis, enterocolitis with painful colic, flatulence (gas), inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract / cystitis /, kidney disease and others. Means for increasing production of milk in suckling mothers.

Effect: Expectorant, antiseptic and antispasmodic, diaphoretic and temperature decreasing.

Directions: Infusion of 1 teaspoon grinded berries in 1/2 liter of boiling water. Strain the infusion after 1 hour. Drink 1/ 2 cup before meals.

* For suckling mothers – drink 1 cup of warm tea 20 minutes before breastfeeding.
